Assembly

To gain the full benefits of Air-Pot containers, it is essential that they are correctly assembled. Please watch the video to make sure you get it right.

Filling an Air-Pot container

For the air pruning to work effectively, the container must be properly filled with the right grade of growing media. The following video shows how to pot up in Air-Pot containers.

Irrigation

One of the consequences of the mass of healthy roots that develop in Air-Pot containers is faster uptake of water and nutrient, This fuels faster growth and, as a result, Air-Pot grown trees need more water than those in standard containers.

In any commercial situation, drip irrigation is recommended. Depending on the size of the Air-Pot container and the requirement of the crop, at least two drippers per pot should be installed, increasing to four or more for the larger sizes of pot. For big trees, the installation of a microjet system is usually preferable.
