Georgie Single
Daughter of Jamie & Suzie and the next generation of The Caledonian Tree Company, Georgie is based in London.
Having lived in Australia for 4 years after University, Georgie returned to the UK and has been full time with the Air-Pot team since 2021. She can be found travelling around The UK (and beyond) visiting customers or at Kew Gardens, where she volunteers in The Arboretum Nursery 1 day a week.
Bas Van Dijk
As a kid Bas worked on a neighbour’s Rose nursery and later worked on other nurseries with a range of different plant species.
He now has his own company providing technical advice to Dutch nurseries. He has worked with Air-Pot containers for fifteen years and is our go to man for horticultural advice. He deals with Nurseries in Holland and Germany as well as the Hydroponic business throughout Europe.
When not working he loves to go on challenging mountain walks and recently trekked to Everest base camp.
Rutger Hornikx
Rutger also grew up on Nurseries and since University has worked internationally for compost and fertiliser companies, and from 2004 at Telermaat, the first distributor of Air-Pot containers in Holland. It was here that he began advising on the use of the Air-Pot system and was involved in the development of the Air-Pot U.
He is now an Air-Pot consultant and deals with nurseries in Northern Europe.
Chris Irving
Chris hails from the American NW. And his spirit couldn’t be more representative of Oregon the state he calls home.
Before he started a family he was potting trees at the local Garden Centre. Then while raising his kids, he clawed his way into wholesale growing….dragging them into the fields to help. He then found long term success as production Manager at J Frank Schmidt & Son and sales manager at Carlton Plants.
He is our Air-Pot representative for nursery growers throughout the USA.
Karl and Charne Van Vuuren
Karl and Charné represent Air-Pot in Southern Africa.
Karl grew up on a citrus farm in Zebediela, Limpopo province, and farming is still running deep in his veins. After school his passion for International trade led him to study marketing at University of Pretoria. Air-Pot has taken Karl back to his roots (no pun intended) and merged his love for farming and trade.
Charné owes her love for plants to parents that could constantly be found working and playing in the garden, although Charné was mostly found up in the trees. After realising that dissecting flowers for fun is not a common hobby, she studied Botany and Microbiology at the University of South Africa and graduated with a BSc.
